Some interesting and useful Library talks are planned this spring:

If you are considering the idea of solar panels for your house or yard, you’ll want to check out Rooftop Solar 101, a free public talk at the Salt Spring Public Library program room on Tuesday, February 21. The speaker, Simon Wheeler, is a local resident and member of the Salt Spring Community Energy Group, cosponsor of the event along with Transition Salt Spring and the Salt Spring Public Library.

March 21 we will have another Library talk "Greening our travel for a Lower Carbon Footprint in BC" with David Denning.

Also planned "Next Steps for Community Solar" by Kjell Liem TBA

The Solar Scholarship Array at the Gulf Islands Secondary School produced 25,657kWh's in 2016. It will fund a $2585 scholarship for a qualifying student(s) this June. Thanks once again to the project donors and sponsors and School District 64! This project keeps on giving...
