Earth Day film night Friday
Dear friends
Earth Day is finally here! While world leaders sign the Paris Agreement in New York tomorrow, we'll be having some celebrations of our own.
First up is the Earth Day celebration all afternoon in Centennial Park with so much to do, you can read up on all the details here.
Then we kick off our 2016 Community Energy Conference with an Earth Day Film Night at 7:30 pm Mahon Hall. We will be showing The Future of Energy: Lateral Power to the People. This film tells the stories of two communities that have successfully taken control of their transition to renewable energy. It's a terrific lead-up to the community solar keynote presentations we will be hearing on Saturday in the Multi-Purpose Room at GISS beginning at 9:30am.
The film has free admission with your Community Energy Conference ticket (available at Salt Spring Books or Mahon Hall before the event) or $5 suggested donation. Friday April 22nd at Mahon Hall 7:30 pm. See you there!
