Library Talk: SSCE’s David Denning and Kjell Liem

Batteries have the potential to help us solve many of the complex climate-crisis issues we face. But battery technology is changing at an astounding pace, so it is very challenging to keep up with the developments. This talk is a non-technical look at the current state and future of battery technology and how it will affect our lives – from the personal level, to the community level, to the wide-scale impact on society. Topics will range from the challenges of managing personal use of batteries, to home batteries for emergency preparedness, to battery stabilization of our coming community charging infrastructure, and to the promise of using batteries for grid stabilization and energy democracy for our society.
