Library Talk: SSCE’s David Denning
For most Islanders home energy use, transportation, and travel are the main components of our carbon footprints. This presentation will provide a short introduction to calculating our individual carbon footprints and a more in-depth look at how we can monitor where we use electrical energy in the household. Using BC Hydro’s ‘smart meter data’ and other electrical monitoring devices, you can save energy and money, and put personal and family electrical energy consumption into perspective of the climate emergency we face.
